An introductory health class is being offered to help participants learn about the lymphatic system and lymphatic drainage. The class will be taught by Dr. Courtney Sproat, a doctor of physical therapy and certified lymphedema therapist.
The session is designed for individuals experiencing swelling, those living with lymphedema, their family members and friends, as well as members of the general public who are interested in raising awareness and supporting immune health. Topics covered will include the function of the lymphatic system, lymphatic anatomy, lymphedema, and lymphatic drainage. A demonstration of a simple self-drainage protocol will also be provided, and participants will receive an outline for reference.
The class will run approximately 45 minutes, followed by a Q&A session. Cost to attend is $10, with payment accepted by cash, check, or card upon arrival.
