Beacon Credit Union’s Garrett Member Center recently donated $1,500 to the Knights of Columbus #1790 to support their annual initiative to provide winter clothing for local children in need The donation will assist the Knights of Columbus in providing essential cold-weather gear, such as coats, hats, and gloves, to ensure that area children stay warm and comfortable during the winter months.
DeKalb County Economic Development Partnership Names Collin Bice as President & CEO
The DeKalb County Economic Development Partnership, Inc. (DCEDP) Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Collin Bice as the organization’s new President and Chief Executive OƯicer. Bice, a lifelong DeKalb County resident, assumed interim leadership of DCEDP following the departure of longtime President & CEO Anton King, who served the organization for more than nine years.

Winter Heating Bills Forecasted to Increase Compared to Last Year
NIPSCO announced that natural gas residential customers can expect an increase in their winter heating bills this season compared to previous years. Based on current market projections and assuming normal winter weather, bills for natural gas residential customers are estimated to be 16% higher than last winter.
